My name is Ms. Heidi Schumacher, I'm becoming a dual-cert teacher and hope to work in an elementary setting. I have had practicum experience in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and fourth grade classrooms. I've had my practicum in Kyrene de la Mirada Elementary School in Chandler, AZ and Manuel DeMiguel Elementary School in Flagstaff, AZ. I graduated from NAU in May 2015 with my bachelor's in special and elementary education and was a part of the professional development schools program (PDS). My mission statement is in the form of a Shel Silverstein poem:
